Windows Azure offers ISVs the ability to create highly scalable, highly performant without the cost of building out a data center. Windows Azure applications are hosted by Microsoft.
Aspect leverages storage + compute in call center application
Aspect Software, Inc. describes their recent project to move storage and processing of screen capture and voice conversations from their call center application into Azure.
As call centers typically have to retain large amounts of voice data recordings for many years, using Azure ensures the customer does not have to maintain hardware for potentially five years or more. Windows Azure takes care of the burden of data retention.
