Marketron leads the radio industry with Windows 7 and SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services.

Marketron works with about 80% of the radio stations tracking, placement, and payment of radio ads. By moving to SQL Server 2008 R2 Marketron adds business intelligence features and by adding jump lists in Windows 7 improves user experience.

Doug Cleven of Marketron talks with ISV Architect Evangelist Bruce Kyle about the features now possible using Microsoft technologies.

Windows 7

Marketron application has moved from Windows XP to being compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 offers new user interface improvements such as Jump Lists that let users quickly navigate Marketron’s Windows Form application.

SQL Server 2008 R2

Marketron is moving from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008 R2 to take advantage of the improvements in Reporting Services. As an ISV, it allows analysts and those needing the data to get business data at the time needed for decisions.
