SQL Server Service Packs Scheduled

SQL Server 2008 Grid hService Packs for SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 have been announced. The announcement was made on the team’s blog at Microsoft SQL Server Release Services.

  • SQL Server 2008 SP2. Microsoft targets release in third quarter of this calendar year.
  • SQL Server 2005 SP4 is targeted for release in the fourth quarter of this year. Based on current support volume as well as the fact that SQL Server 2005 will enter into extended support on April 13, 2011 we anticipate this to be the last Service Pack release for this SQL Server version.
