Windows 7 Available for Half Price Until July 11

You can be one of the first to get Windows 7 and get it for half off by pre-ordering. Get Windows 7 at Microsoft Store or from online retailers for a limited time.

Windows 7 is coming on October 22, 2009. You can:

  • Pre-order a Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade for $49 or

  • Windows 7 Professional Upgrade for $99 at Microsoft Store.

That's about half off the estimated retail prices.

    And for those of us living outside the US, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK, don’t you think this is just a teensy bit unfair?

    Can someone explain why we should pay twice as much as people in the US (etc.) even before the usual markups are applied?

    Other markets will have special pricing too. But each subsidiary has its own specials. I could only comment on the ones I knew about.
