The Windows Team has announced the availability dates for Windows 7 in blog tonight, Windows 7 Release Candidate Update. Brandon LeBlanc writes, "I’m pleased to share that the RC is on track for April 30th for download by MSDN and TechNet subscribers. Broader, public availability will begin on May 5th."

ISVs are checking applications for compatibility and signing up for Windows 7 Compatibility Labs around the US. ISVS are also checking out the technical requirements and trying out the Windows 7 compatibility certification toolkit to self-test your own applications.

ISVs are also signing up to participate in the Windows 7 Virtual Readiness Day on May 9 to find out about technical and business benefits of Windows 7.
