Looking for Local Microsoft Events?

I frequently get asked by my ISVs "Is there a place I can go to see what's happening locally and not have to wait for the once a month communique you send me?"  The answer to this is a resounding "Yes, there is!".  So I thought I'd post the steps to finding your local events so that everyone can start attending all the great events going on in your local area that you are currently missing out on.

  1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/events
  2. On the right side of the screen is a "Quick Find" box, click the link to "Find Events and Webcasts"
  3. Filter away, and search. 

I recommend that you begin by limiting the search only to your local state, then if there is a lot to go through perhaps add a filter on Audience.  Also, don't forget to select the type of event, this is the one thing I wish they'd change to checkboxes so you can select more than one of them :(
