Emerging technology release dates announced at Tech Ed 2007

The following dates were released at TechEd 2007 conference in Orlando this week.

· Visual Studio 2008 ship at the end of 2007.

· Visual Studio 2008 second beta later this summer.

· SQL Server 2008 will ship mid 2008.

· SQL Server 2008 preview is available now.

SQL Server 2008 offers improvements for enterprise scalability and business intelligence, including reporting technology from Dundas Data Visualization. Microsoft announced its acquisition of Dundas products earlier this week.

We previously announced Windows Server 2008 (code name “Longhorn Server”) to RTM end-of-year 2007.
