Popfly is the first of a new generation of web tools that enables users of all skill levels to create or edit their own mash-ups for use within applications or to simply spice up their web sites or socials sites.
On Friday May 18th at 9am PST, Microsoft will publicly disclose Popfly, the fun, easy way for anyone to build and share mashups, gadgets, Web pages, and applications. Popfly consists of two parts:
1. Popfly Creator is a set of online visual tools for building Web pages and mashups.
2. Popfly Space is an online community of creators where you can host, share, rate, comment and even remix creations from other Popfly users.
We will be showcasing Popfly on Saturday the 19th at Maker Faire, a 2-day, family-friendly event hosted by O’Reilly Media that celebrates engineering, science projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset.
Popfly is being released as a private, invitation-only alpha with just over 2,000 initial customers. Interested parties can join the waitlist as over the next coming months we’ll be providing rolling invitations to the Popfly waiting list, Microsoft Student Partners, and registered Visual Studio Express customers.
