Robert Scoble, Texas Food and Geek Dinners

A couple of months ago a couple of colleagues from work Steve Lamb and Eileen Brown suggest I accompany them to a geek dinner being held in London on the 10th of December. After a bit of cajoling and the offer of cheap food and a friend agreeing to go with me the scene was set!

The months flew by and I found myself stood in the middle of London a stones throw away from Nelsons Column, about to enter my first Geek Dinner! Not knowing the etiquette for the evening the first few minutes were spent with nervous jabs at conversation but after a short while I settled right in and had a great night. I met some very interesting people including a chap from the BBC who run the BBCs Backstage someone who had ported Linux to an Apple iPod and not to mention Robert Scoble as well.

Overall a very enjoyable night and well worth the Train over!
