As part of our education community here at Microsoft, we have a number of Showcase Schools that are at the forefront of embracing and using technology both in the classroom and as part of the wider learning experience, whether that be working collaboratively in groups or during periods of personal study.
Such is the way with everyone involved in education, the desire to share knowledge with others is the ultimate driving force behind what they do. With a wider range of technology available to schools than ever before, it is important that any technological intervention is well thought out and suitable for helping teachers and students achieve their goals. Simon de Senlis Primary in Northampton is one of our Microsoft Showcase Schools, and is hosting an event in October to explore some of the big questions at the moment around technology in schools, devices, software procurement and technical support:

About the speakers
Steve Beswick has run Microsoft Education in the UK for eight years – a period which has held unprecedented change in both technology and education worldwide. Steve will share his experience and give some insight into education technology now and in the future.
Tom Rees is Headteacher at Simon de Senlis, one of only two Microsoft Global Showcase Primary Schools in the UK and will share the school’s vision and journey so far around the use of technology.
