Windows 10 Training Videos – Overview of Windows 10

While the students themselves might be enjoying a relaxing time over the summer break, for the teachers and non-academic staff at institutions it is an incredibly busy period of planning, implementation and continued personal development. Whether it is becoming familiar with new areas of the curriculum, creating new ways of covering existing material, or setting up the infrastructure in anticipation of a fresh intake of students at the start of the new academic year in September, you can guarantee that there is an awful lot going on during the so called 'holidays'.

For any teachers or IT staff that are looking to upgrade to Windows 10 in the next few weeks, we are pleased to share a number of tutorial videos with you, which are presented by members of the Microsoft Innovative Educator network.

In this course, you will learn about the basic features of Windows 10. You will have an opportunity to personalise your device, set up Cortana, your personal assistant, practice annotating using digital ink and the new browser, Microsoft Edge. You will learn how to easily share your work through OneNote, Office365, and the Reading List. Finally, you will learn how you can make teaching more efficient through the use of multiple desktops.

Presenting this first video are Becky Keene and Justin Talmadge, members of the MIEE community from North America:

If you’d like to take a further look at Windows 10, there are several other tutorial videos on the Microsoft in Education YouTube channel that you can watch.
