BETT 2015: Day 2 video recap – Kodu Kup launch, Theatre sessions, and who is that behind the Minecraft mask…?

Here are a couple of short recap videos covering the first two days of BETT 2015 on the Microsoft stand, as well as at some of our partners’ locations. As you’ll see from the videos, our stand has four distinct areas of activity; the Showcase Classroom, Devices Gallery, the Theatre, and finally Game + Learn:

Our Theatre sessions are running again today and tomorrow, so if you’re looking to gain a further understanding of some of our products such as OneNote, OfficeMix, Sway, or just want to hear from some of the teachers who are part of our Microsoft Innovative Educator programme and Showcase School leaders, there really is something for everyone. Workshop sessions are also still being run in our Showcase Classroom, where you will be able to work on a mobile device and be guided through a variety of disciplines and skills. These sessions are very much hands on, and we’d encourage you to stop by for a spell at some point today.

Yesterday we launched the Kodu Kup 2015 on the Viglen stand, where Stuart Ball kicked off this years competition:

Back on the Microsoft stand, our Game + Learn section became a hive of activity with children and adults alike getting to grips with Minecraft, and, in many cases, stopped to pose for a picture wearing the Minecraft blockheads!

We still have these hats with us, so feel free to swing by and have your picture taken wearing one…. Just don't forget to tweet it out with the hashtags #Minecraft and #BETT2015, and mention @microsofteduk!

As with Wednesday, we also stopped by at some of the other exhibitor stands and we have to say that we've been mightily impressed with what we’ve seen so far. We will be shining more of a light on some of these companies in the coming weeks, but we’d like to give a special mention to the folks over at zSpace who were this week crowned winners of the BETT 2015 Digital Devices and Innovation award, in recognition of their incredible virtual reality 3D lab, which also incorporates technology from Corinth, a Microsoft Education partner.

We’ll be back with more roundups from BETT 2015, but for now make sure you head over to the ExCel for day three, and please come and say hi to our hardworking team on stand D270!
