Oliviero Iurcovich: A Student’s First Hand Experience Using Office 365 (Student Advantage)

Oliviero Iurcovich is a student at Surrey University studying International Business Management. Oliviero uses the Office 365 Pro Plus package to help him within his studies.


When Oliviero first begun using the Office 365 Pro Plus package he found the transition easy and straight forward. He was already confident in the use of PowerPoint, Word and Excel so found it a simple changeover. When Oliviero faced any hurdle, he referred to the Microsoft blogs available online or searched on Bing for help. He found that there was plenty of concise and supportive guidance available on the internet. With the Office Package Oliviero found there were always just simple actions he needed to take to achieve his objectives. “The package was not just simple and efficient, but it was also a very attractive, sexy product.”

Oliviero believes the Office Pro Plus package is by far the best software available in the market. “The entire Office Pro Plus package complement one another flawlessly. With all my documents stored in the cloud I can work efficiently and seamlessly”. Oliviero now finds his work needs much less input, he has much more free time to enjoy being at University! He no longer has nightmares about backing up his files with the cloud. Oliviero found he could develop a better studying plan to achieve higher results. Using Microsoft OneNote he could coordinate his lecture and text book notes, along with his own personal notes. With one synchronised set of material Oliviero was able to be as productive as possible when revising. “I can’t imagine life without it!” Oliviero feels well equipped when entering into his final year of university with the Office 365 Pro Plus package.

Through regular use of Office 365 Pro Plus Oliviero believes his IT skills have definitely been enhanced. “I have been able to gain a deeper knowledge of the Office package. This is what employers regard highly for graduates.” Through building a high level of understanding of Office, Oliviero feels confident for competing in the job market after he graduates.

Oliviero hopes to work in management for a technological company once he graduates. “Being able to use Office 365 is a real asset for this goal”. Microsoft Publisher has enabled Oliviero to manage tasks. Office 365 email has enhanced his organisation skills through managing his inbox and calendar. Oliviero also uses Lync 2013, as part of his Office 365 Pro Plus package. He understands how a large amount of companies use this software for internal communications, by being fluent in this software Oliviero feels confident for the transition from student life into working life.

Oliviero was able to download the entire Office Pro Plus package for free through Student Advantage. “Being a student and having the latest technology is really exciting. I would not have been able to afford the Office package if it wasn’t for Student Advantage. But now I feel like I couldn’t live without it! Once I graduate I will make sure to purchase my own copy. I think it is incredible that a corporation as big as Microsoft is able to give back to the community in such a way as Student Advantage!”
