Are you a teacher working with your students on writing games with Microsoft’s free game creation software, Kodu?
Are your students between the ages of 7-14 and would like a day out at Microsoft HQ in Reading?
Could they rise to the challenge of pitting their Kodu coding skills against others, learn from them and share their own ideas?
Then Koduthon 2013 is the free event for you.
We would like to invite 15 schools to bring a team of three students accompanied by at least one teacher to an event being held on 12th April 2013, starting at 10:30am and finishing at 3:00pm at Microsoft UK Headquarters, Thames Valley Park in Reading. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Are there any criteria to apply to attend the event?
Yes, there are a few…..
- Each school can only bring a team of three students aged between 7-14 and must be accompanied by at least one teacher.
- Teachers and students must be using or have used Kodu. This event is not an introduction to Kodu.
- Each team must bring at least one laptop (and power supply) with Kodu installed.
- Each school must commit to entering the UK Kodu Kup competition (closing date 31st May). Full details available here
Ok I can do all that, How do I apply?
That’s easy….. Send a tweet with your Name, School Name and to @Kodukup on Twitter
We will randomly choose 15 schools from those that apply and let them know if they been successful on 6th April via the method you contacted us. If you haven’t heard from us by this date. Then I am afraid you have not been successful.
The closing date for applications is 5th April.
So good luck and start applying now. We promise it will be an exciting and challenging learning experience for you and your students.
If you have any questions, send a tweet to @kodukup or leave a comment on the Kodu Kup Facebook page
