Wales leading the way to the… Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Four Nations Championship

In November 2016, Microsoft and Prodigy Learning launched the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Four Nations Championship for students across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales to prove their mastery of Microsoft Office. The ultimate prize for 3 students will be the trip of a lifetime to the MOS World Championship Final in Disneyland, California to represent the UK and Ireland. Treorchy Comprehensive School, Rhondda Cynon Taf in Wales was host to the first of the national qualifying finals days on 6th April 2017 which saw Eleri Evans, Matthew Davies and Sam Conboy being crowned the first ever Welsh National Champions.


OneNote Class Notebook updates include read-only parent or guardian access and Collaboration Space permissions

We are continuously impressed by the passion and creativity of teachers and students who are using our tools. A common theme we heard was how OneNote continues to save teachers time and enhance collaboration in the classroom. In our conversations, we learned that parents and guardians are also curious to learn more about OneNote to help engage with their students’ learning progress. To address the top requests we heard from teachers, administrators and parents/guardians, we’re pleased to announce the release of four new features in OneNote Class Notebook.


Microsoft at BUFDG

The British Universities Finance Directors Group (BUFDG) is the representative body for higher education finance staff in the United Kingdom. This year’s annual BUFDG conference kicks off Sunday 9th to Tuesday 11th April 2017, and marks the 50th anniversary for the events host institution, the University of Bath. The UK Microsoft Higher Education team will be on the stand showcasing Surface devices and Azure Cloud services, and how they can make a significant and profound impact on the challenges faced by modern financial institutions.
