Following last week’s post about the value of apprenticeships to businesses, we’d like to remind you that this Thursday (19th March) we are hosting a Microsoft Apprentice Insight Event here at our UK Headquarters in Reading. So whether you’re a school leaver, parent, friend or relative, we’re pleased to welcome you to join us on the day to find out what it’s really like at Microsoft, and hear all about the fantastic opportunities our current apprentices have had, both inside and outside of their day jobs.
To further reinforce the persistent value of the skills and disciplines learned and built upon during apprenticeships, the infographic below presents data from a whitepaper published by IDC, and illustrates what employers are looking for in new recruits. As well as offering apprenticeship programmes, Microsoft also has a range of qualifications available, such as MOS Certifications, that students can work towards, making them stand out in the areas where employers are increasingly focussing their talent searches:
If you aren’t able to make it along to our Microsoft Apprentice Insight Event on Thursday, we’d encourage you to dial into our webinar the following week, where anyone wishing to learning more about the benefits of Certifications in Apprenticeships can speak with Anthony Nneke, Business Manager for Further Education & Skills at Microsoft UK.
The webinar will take place between 1300-1345 on Thursday 26th March, and if you’d like to join please email Anthony on firstname.lastname@example.org.
