Congratulations to James Parsons, an intern in Advertising Business Operations in Microsoft UK, who has qualified for the UK final of the MOS World Championships, a competition to find the top Word and Excel students. This year, the UK final, which will bring together 20 students (selected from two qualifying rounds), will be at TVP on Wednesday 17th June.
James, who qualified for the final with his outstanding score in the Word exam, said, “Sitting the MOS examinations has allowed me to prove my proficiency in using the numerous Office applications - all of which are evidently crucial within every business. Thus, I am glad that I have been able to bolster and build upon the foundations of the skills learnt throughout my education, whilst simultaneously gaining recognised qualifications.”
James will be battling to be one of the two UK MOS-certified students who will each win the trip of a lifetime to Dallas, Texas and the chance to compete for the World Championship (with a top prize $5,000 USD).
Last year’s Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship attracted more than 400,000 unique candidates from 130 countries who competed to demonstrate their mastery of Microsoft Office products.
