BETT has been bringing innovation and inspiration to the education sector for over 30 years, and attracts around 35,000 visitors every year. Here’s a sneak preview of the key developments we’ll be sharing with delegates at this year’s show, to be held during January at London’s ExCel Centre.
Office 365 for Education Solutions
As covered in a previous blog, our online learning content management platform, EduShare, is now available on Office 365 to educational institutions around the globe.
EduShare is designed for publishing, sharing and collaborating on teaching, learning, researchand library content. Helping both teachers and students, it saves time and effort; supports new learning techniques such as flipped and blended learning; aligns content to learning standards; and improves overall lesson quality.
We’ll be discussing with delegates the cost-savings and increased potential of EduShare now it’s fully integrated with Office 365. In particular, its role as a global solution: ideal for schools, ministries and districts around the world, including those from rural or remote communities and developing nations.
Also now integrated with Office 365, TeacherKit Windows 8 app helps organise classes and students with a few simple clicks or taps. For example: import a class roster, and start taking attendance immediately. TeacherKit lifts the headache of routine administration, allowing schools to focus on what really matters – teaching.
Over a million educators worldwide already use TeacherKit to manage their time and activities. At BETT, we’ll be showcasing its simple yet powerful efficiencies to teachers.
Progress 8 Dashboards
Due to be implemented from 2016, Progress 8 is a UK performance measure that will be used to compare each student’s attainment at Key Stage 4 across eight subjects with the attainment of pupils with similar prior attainment.
We’re ahead of the game, having developed new Edu360 dashboards to address Progress 8. We’ll be sharing and demonstrating these dashboards at BETT. Our solutions will help school leaders to not only be ready in time, but to have the perfect tools at their disposal to make Progress 8 work in their school.
New Learning Management System
Also in the development pipeline here at ITWORX Education there is a new Learning Management System. With its launch due very soon, we’ll be whetting people’s appetite during BETT – but even if you can’t make the event, why not email us to be first to hear when it comes out.
AuthorKit for Creating Interactive Content
Finally, we’ll be offering a free 30-day trial license of AuthorKit to BETT visitors. AuthorKit is our innovative application that enables teachers to create their own e-learning resources: quickly, creatively and with minimal fuss, as all the technology is already taken care of. Teachers can include self-assessment questions as well as export SCORM files. Already proving popular with teachers and schools in numerous countries, we’re expecting AuthorKit to continue attracting a lot of buzz during BETT.
We look forward to seeing you at BETT 2015 stand D250 and to another exciting show.
