Project 2010 Beta released

Called the most significant Microsoft Project release in a decade, the free beta for Project 2010 is available now. Try it and see what the buzz is about.

Microsoft Project is used extensively across HM Government and is seen by many users as the standard Project Scheduling toolset. Project 2010 is the next iteration of this successful tool and brings out many new features and capabilities that customers have been requesting over the years. The complete solution from the desktop to the enterprise is catered for in Project 2010, thus allowing organisations to better manage their individual schedules through to the complete organisations project, programme and portfolio management needs.

The current focus of the OGC on improving PMO and governance is an example of an area where Project 2010 will deliver benefits that can help to cut costs. As Project 2010 is built on SharePoint 2010 it delivers the ability to manage governance (Gateways Review Process), resources, collaboration and reporting across the organisation becomes closer to reality.
