Our friends over in the Windows team have put this useful step by step guide together for upgrading to Windows 10 from a previous version of Windows, such as Windows 7.
This definitely caters more for the IT pros within an educational institution, but those more tech savvy educators will find this pretty accessible, also.
In addition to showing you how to upgrade your OS to Windows 10, the guide will also show you how to manage devices, apps, and users in Windows 10. So handy!
The guide, posted over on the Windows IT Center, provides you with everything you need to get up and running.
In addition to screen shots illustrating every step of the process, there is also access to an awesome online lab environment that you can use to perform the exercises in this lab. This lab environment contains all the virtual machines, users, and files that you need to complete these exercises and is available without charge and online at all times.
More specifically, the guide contains the following:
• Review the lab environment
• Sign into Windows 10 using Azure Active Directory
• Managing Windows 10
• Manage Windows 10 provisioning packages
• Review the Windows 10 upgrade
As I mentioned, the full guide, including access to the lab environment, is available for free over on the Windows IT Center. Check it out and let us know how you got on.
We are going to be posting a lot more technical resources to the blog, including a series of posts from the team over at EduGeek. Pop an update in the comments below if you have anything specific you would like us to cover.
