Merry Christmas from the Microsoft UK Education Team!

It's that time of year again where we all take a much welcome break from work and studying to spend time with friends, family and loved ones, and enjoy the festivities of the holiday period.

We’d just like to take a brief moment to wish everyone in the education community a very Merry Christmas from all of us here in the Microsoft UK Education team. We’ve had a fantastic year working with all of our Showcase Schools, MIEs and MIE-Experts, and all of the other people and institutions we’ve had the pleasure of coming in to contact with in 2014. We hope that you’ve taken value in any interactions you’ve had with the Microsoft team, as well as our products and services.

As we move into 2015 our attention will fully turn towards BETT at the end of January – an event that we’re sure to see many of you at. We will have a large presence in the exhibition hall for the duration of the education technology conference, and we look forward to revealing more about our plans early in the new year.

While for many Christmas is a time for celebrating and relaxing, we’re also aware that for students it can be a highly stressful period with the prospect of exams looming just around the corner in January. It’s important that you start the new year fresh and well rested in order to be at your best for when you eventually sit down and turn those question papers over, so whilst we definitely recommend that you continue studying and revising over the holiday period, don’t overexert yourselves to the point where you start term in January feeling more exhausted than when you finished before Christmas. Make time for catching up with friends and let your brain take a break… It can make all the difference!

Over the next week or two we’ll be taking a rest as well, so this blog won’t be updated as regularly as it has been lately. We will post a piece or two between now and the new year, but from all of us here at the Microsoft UK Education team, we’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas, and all the best for 2015!
