Posted on behalf of Mike Morris (BM for Further Education).
At Microsoft we are always keen to support organisations within F.E. that advocate the responsible implementation of technology to promote success. Success can cover a number of areas for a college including operational efficiency, improved registrations, improved OFSTED ratings and improved course completion.
For us, success in Further Education is ultimately about the provision of appropriate skills to enable graduates to quickly gain employment in the career of their choice while matching the demands of the economy, both locally and beyond. With this in mind, we like to actively support organisations that support these goals and, as a result, will be participating at two LSIS events, in the near future.
The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) www.lsis.org.uk/ was formed to accelerate quality improvement, increase participation and raise standards and achievement in the learning and skills sector in England. It is dedicated to working in partnership with all parts of the Further Education sector to build and sustain self-improvement and works closely with sector practitioners in the delivery of what it provides. This includes developing and providing resources that help colleges and providers implement initiatives and improve quality, by commissioning products and services, identifying and sharing good practice throughout the system, and providing tailored programmes of support. We will be providing support for LSIS at the events below and hope to work with them closely going forward.
We hope to see you there!
