ABOUT THE TOPIC:

This is a new Reporting Feature in Dynamics NAV 4.03 FP1 for Central and Eastern Europe.

Under EU Regulation No. 218/92 of 27th January 1992, the Council established a system of administrative co-operation called VAT Information Exchange System (VIES) which was designed to prevent and deter abuse of the VAT zero-rating provisions for goods traded in the EU from 1st. January 1993. An integral part of the VIES system is a requirement that each Member State must store and process specific information which it collects from its exporters about their trade with other Member States. This presentation describes the reasons why this feature was created. Presents its features and outlines how data is reported and transactions handled to achieve a correct output
