Microsoft CRM 3.0 Support for Windows Vista & Office 2007

For Those About To Rock, We Salute You...

At our Convergence 2006 conference in March, we talked about the key themes of our next release of Microsoft CRM (codename Titan) due H1 CY2007, namely support for:

  • Multi-Tenancy
  • Multi-Lingual
  • Multi-Currency
  • Office 2007

It seems that there is a lot of interest in Windows Vista and Office 2007 as I have been asked regularly about our support of these upcoming releases in CRM 3.0. By co-incidence I was talking to Greg in our Sustained Engineering (SE) team in Redmond about some multi-lingual Windows/Office testing and he mentioned that we will be fully testing the Outlook Client running on Vista and Office 2007. Once testing is complete, any bugs raised will be fixed and a refresh of the Outlook Client for CRM 3.0 will be released.

Now before you ask about availability, all I know is that the client refresh should be available by the time Windows Vista and Office 2007 hit RTM (Release To Manufacturing), but not for any beta versions.
