ADC SoundByte: Bing Maps - Easy to integrate in JavaScript and Silverlight, and here’s how

This month we have a new SoundByte from Chris Barker on integrating Bing Maps for the Enterprise with your application. This is a huge growth area of interest for a lot of our customers, but many don’t realise how easy it can be, what features are available, or what the right approach is. Chris will take you on a whirlwind tour through using both the JavaScript and Silverlight APIs to take advantage of Bing Maps.

It is charged at the rate of 1 hour from your ADC contract. For this price you may have up to 2 Live Meeting connections, and you are of course free to use these to broadcast to a room full of people in your office. If you require further information on this subject after the event, you can of course engage with the ADC team as usual to setup a suitable session.

SoundBytes are short, focused, technical sessions aimed at developers and architects, delivered by an Application Development Consultant over Live Meeting. Attendees will be given time to ask questions, and receive a copy of the material presented in the session.

Abstract

Users are starting to expect to be able to visualise and interact with geographical or location data in much richer ways. Bing Maps provides a solid, easy to use platform for your location data, allowing you to overlay and customise marker Pins, shaded areas, or routes . This session shows exactly how easy it is to integrate Bing Maps with your existing solution, using both the JavaScript API and the new Silverlight API. Code samples will be in JavaScript, XAML, and C#, using Visual Studio 2008.

To book a place on this SoundByte, please contact your ADC, specifying the names, email addresses, and telephone numbers of all the required attendees.
