ADC SoundBytes: A Developer’s Introduction to IIS7

The ADC Team’s next SoundByte is entitled “A Developer’s Introduction to IIS7”, and will be run on Friday 27th March 2009 from 11:00 – 12:00 GMT byWilliam Gunaratne. If you’re looking at moving to IIS7, and would like to get an overview of what options it can give your developers, we would recommend attending.

The session is charged at the rate of 1 hour from your ADC contract per customer, which we believe is excellent value. For this price you may have up to 2 Live Meeting connections, and you are of course free to use these to broadcast to a room full of people in your office. If you require further information on this subject after the event, you can of course engage with the ADC team as usual to setup a suitable session.

If you do not have an ADC contract, but do have a contract with Premier that includes proactive hours, you can pay with 2 proactive hours instead. This is a great way to sample the ADC service, and see how we might be able to help you.

This session will look at what you need to know to move your application from IIS6 to IIS7+. Learn how IIS7 can be extended using managed code to add custom functionality and behaviour. Understand how features like ‘failed request tracing’ enable complete end-to-end request tracing scenarios to aid in diagnostics and performance tuning. Demos will be presented in C#.
