Wanting to move lots of data to the cloud can take a long time and cost quite a bit, even over fast connections. In the past have shared how Universities can move data from on Premise into Microsoft Data Centres using Microsoft Storage Import & Export https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/uk_faculty_connection/2017/04/28/post-your-harddrive-for-upload-to-the-cloud/ Which allows Azure users to import data to its cloud by shipping hard drives to its data centres.
But this was a huge issue if you had a large amount of Data well now we have 100 TB Azure Data Box
So what is Azure Data Box

The box plugs right into the data centre network and supports standard protocol like SMB and CIFS. Data on the box itself is secured with with a 256 bit AES encryption
