About me…

I am "Technology Evangelist" at Microsoft, India. My focus areas are Games & Apps (architecture, design, development, testing) on Windows Phone, Windows Store, Microsoft Azure, Internet Of Things (IoT), Android, iOS platforms. Another area of interest is interoperability of apps & games across devices, powered by cloud (Microsoft Azure). I primarily work with independent developers, start-up business groups, ISVs & enterprises.

In my previous role, I worked as “Partner Consultant and World Wide Specialization Lead” at Microsoft, India. I have a bachelor’s degree in “Information Technology” and a “Higher National Diploma in Computing” from Edexcel, UK. I also pursued a proficiency course in “Artificial Intelligence” from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Further, I have completed PMP (Project Management Professional) CTP certification course from QAI and cleared "MCTS - Windows Internals", "MCAD.Net", "Microsoft Specialist - Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions"  professional certifications.

I have 12+ years of full time software industry experience. In the past I mainly worked on architecture, design, consulting and application development based on C++, C#, Windows Phone, Windows Internals, Microsoft Robotics Studio, Debugging (user mode – managed & native), Unity3D and Microsoft Cloud Computing (Azure). I have also worked extensively on image processing, document imaging and Windows Multimedia SDK based application development.

I have written over 50 technical, knowledge based articles and solution objects which were published on Microsoft’s internal, external websites and magazines1. I also delivered 100+ external technical talks to various engineering college faculty members, students & industry professionals2. Further, I have written 12 papers published at Microsoft Thinkweek, and received accolades from eminent researchers andleaders at Microsoft, including Bill Gates.

Additionally, I have mentored/guided over 30+ final year engineering students in their software andgame development projects and technical paper presentations. My interests’ lies in Internet of Things, Windows, Windows Phone, Natural User Interface, Gaming, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Creativity, Robotics, Cloud Computing and related fields. When I am not working, I like to read, do research and evangelize Microsoft development technologies.

I am working with Microsoft for nearly nine years and I am amazed with the kind of work done here. The technologies devised here and the possibilities opened to use the toughest of such technologies with ease and lucid manner is simply amazing...
