Since this is my first post here I hope you don’t mind me taking a few lines to introduce myself. My name is Tony Voellm and my passion is solving hard if not impossible problems. This passion has naturally lead to a career in performance roles in everything from compilers, OS (Networking, Files Systems), and recently database performance. My current role is as a Principal Development Lead on the SQL Performance Engineering Team. You’ll see a variety of topics covered on everything from numbers, investigations, methodology, perf teams, to random questions like "which is faster a database or filesystem?"
