If you are in Barcelona for TechEd developers, look for these Microsoft Learning people and introduce yourself. They will be the ones in Microsoft polo shirts. OK, more specifically, they will be in Microsoft polo shirts hanging out at the Microsoft Learning booth in the Ask the Experts section, or at the bookstore. More specifically, they will be the ones with no shirts, hanging out at the bar.
- Gerry O’Brien, developer certification
- Greg Weber, developer e-learning
- Greg Pearson and team from Microsoft Press
- The always top-notch Tjeerd and Theresia from our marketing team
- MCTs all over the place, too (look for the Ambassador logo on shirts)
- and some other people I’ve missed
I believe there is a Microsoft Press preview CD as a giveaway for MCPs–you can get that from our staff at the Microsoft Learning booth. Bring your MCP card! And look for 30% discount on Microsoft Press titles if you buy from the bookstore at the event (next to the Speaker Idol area and MVP lounge). In the meantime, if you have a blog, add it to the TechEd Developers community site so people can find you.
So many great speakers, too. Look for Matt Winkler‘s session(s) on Workflow. He’s pretty funny. And, if he can get me half-way to understanding what WPF and WCF are all about, think what he can do for you…
It should be excellent. Have a great time. Do lots of labs. Corner the MIcrosoft people and ask questions. Wear black t-shirts with smarmy IT slogans. Blindly grab for swag, even if you know you don’t want it. Be offensively opinionated. Make me proud! For those of you who, like YT, will not be there, you can keep an eye on the Virtual TechEd site for interviews and labs and whatnot.
