  1. Read more here about the deal. Basically, buy and use exam insurance, get a year subscription to TechNet Plus Direct, which retails for about $349. It is a steal if you are taking a Microsoft certification test soon.

Hi, there. Here is what the web site says: Q. How do I get the TechNet Plus Direct subscription? A.

Within six to eight weeks of taking your exam, you will receive notification by e-mail that includes an activation code and link to your TechNet Plus Direct subscription.

IF YOU HAVENT FOUND THAT TO BE TRUE, YOU CAN CONTACT: examinsurance@wrightrobbins.com

  5. trikah@microsoft.com says:

did you try and contact that e-mail I gave you to find out what’s up?

  6. Eric Ewing says:

I posted a comment to an older post, and don’t mean to spam your blog, but I seem to be unable to purchase Exam Insurance and I really want to take advantage of this offer. Would you kindly tell me who I need to contact at Microsoft to work through the problems I’ve experienced with the "certified partners"? None of the ones listed on the exampartners.com page for North America/Ohio will sell Exam Insurance to me. Thanks!

  7. Bing says:

    Hi Trika,

I sent an email to that address last week.

    No reply yet.

    Thanks anyway.

  8. trikah@microsoft.com says:

Pls send me a mail and we will follow up together.

Sorry to say, I have the same experience. Took exam early januar, but haven’t received anything yet.

  10. Mooncalf says:

Same situation did my exam early Jan. Still no email and I have emailed you and the other address and got no response either…

Another week went by. I haven’t heard anything yet. I mailed the e-mail you gave in an earlier post, but didn’t receive an answer.

  12. Bing says:

    Received yesterday. Thanks, Trika.

If I purchase Exam Insurance (I found a vendor willing) and write by April 30, but fail the exam (70-291 aka the beast) – would I still expect an activation code and link to TechNet Plus Direct?  Thanks, Ken.

  14. trikah@microsoft.com says:

But i am checking because of that damn 1%, it always gets me.

  15. gomcse2002 says:

    Hey Ken

I failed my 70-290 in Jan 07 (1st wave of the Exam Insurance promotion and I still manage to get my free TechNet Plus Membership from Microsoft, so I would say the answer is "YES"

  16. Ken Dymond says:

    Thanks Trikah & gomcse2002.  I just booked’er up for Apr 23.

I register the program last December and take an exam in Jan 12. I did not get any email. Am I too late?
