Kidneys: Nothing To Be Ashamed Of

At the end of March, we are having a Live Meeting update on Windows Server certifications. Even though Longhorn (whoops I mean Windows Server, code name "Longhorn" ) is still really far out, we know many of you have questions about what you should do now if you have a 2000 credential, are part-way through a 2000 or 2003 track, or not started yet. So, we'll give an update on what's available now, plus an overview (just an overview... no exam numbers or titles or exact dates, so don't get too excited) of what is in the works for Longhorn. I mean, Windows Server, code name "Longhorn."

Typing Windows Server, code name "Longhorn" is bothersome. It is the same feeling I get when I have to type my whole name out, or try to spell it to someone on the phone. My first job was at the Mid-Atlantic Renal Coalition. When I worked there I would have to call people and say, "This is Trika Harms zum Spreckel from the Mid-Atlantic Renal Coalition" and then take 10 minutes to spell it. That was not only bothersome, but kind of embarrasing, because "renal" sounds a little racy, if you don't know what it means. But it's kidneys. Just kidneys! Nothing to be ashamed of.

Yours,

Trika Harms zum Spreckel, Microsoft Corporation (home of Windows Server, code name "Longhorn")
