The Microsoft Certifed Architect program is a cool program. For this reason, I cannot blame you for asking many, many questions about it in today's Exchange Cert Live Meeting. Even though we were supposed to be talking about Exchange. Just kidding, I like all the questions. Here are some things I know:
- There is an MCA blog: https://blogs.msdn.com/mca/default.aspx
- Andy Ruth, who runs the MCA program, and posts on the blog, works on my floor and is a great guy.
- Cost: "The cost for applying to the program is US$200 and is due when you register in the program.. As soon as you are accepted into the program, the program fee is US$10,000."
- As of October, there were 91 MCAs in North America and 57 outside of North America. There's been a board review world tour recently (including Asia) so I know these numbers have changed. Checking on more recent #s...
- We are starting MCA-led technology discussions for MCPs via Live Meeting. Our first one is next week with Scott Andersen, Infrastructure Architect, about Exchange 2007--registration information is on the MCP site: https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp
