a few notes on Microsoft Press Training Kits for VS2005 exams

A customer asked if we're bundling any books for the developer certifications, and here's what I found out: There will be a training kit ('TK's, as we say in the biz) bundle for MCPD: Web Developer, including what you need for the pre-requisite MCTS: Web Developer, available in February 2007 (see first bullet, below). There will NOT be a bundle for the MCPD: Windows certification... but there are TKs available now for each of the separate exams in that track. Note that 70-536 is a common requirements for the 3 VS2005 MCTS certs.

Parting shot: TKs for 70-547 and 70-548 are due out at the end of January. If you're eagerly anticipating the TK for 70-549, you'll need to hold your horses (as we also say in the biz), because it has been delayed until March. Here's the Microsoft Press overview page.
