Tripp's Tiny Tips #14 - Per application DPI settings

One of the common complaints have seen for High DPI displays is the behavior of the applications with with high DPI enabled. These settings make the application/system ignore the High DPI settings on a per application basis.

On the taskbar, bring up the jump list (right click on the icon) and right click on the program name.

Click on the properties menu item and select the compatibility tab.

Select "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".

As the font will be very small on the application (as it is treated as a high resolution, normal DPI display). there may be application specific settings for native zoom. For Chrome, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom of the settings page and select "Show advanced settings". Change the default page zoom to the scaling you like.
