Upcoming MSDN Belux Evening: Developing .NET applications for Microsoft Office with Visual Studio 2008

For years, Microsoft Office has been a major development platform. For a majority of business users and knowledge workers, Office is the only interface that they use to do their work. Any additional applications are expected to be integrated into that interface.  Visual Studio has been enabling developers to build upon the Office platform. With Office 2007, what you can do with Office has significantly expanded, so what you can do with Visual Studio to build upon that has significantly expanded as well.

During this MSDN evening, we’ll start with an introduction on Office development with Visual Studio 2008. You’ll learn how to build your own ribbons and task panes, how Word Content Controls can help make information more searchable, how to create Outlook Form Regions and how to create Sharepoint workflows. You’ll also see how to build OBA’s, Office Business Applications, that stimulate collaboration.
