Web Services Security Patterns preview now available

Over the last few months, the patterns & practices team has been busy putting together some new guidance around building secure web services applications. We are happy to announce that the first preview of this deliverable is now available on the SO Patterns community site. If you are interested in this space, please download the content and let us know what you think. We have tried very hard to put together content that is approachable and easy to use, even if you have little experience with security or patterns. Please let us know how close we have got to this goal, and what we can do to improve the final release.

This is also a good opportunity to introduce you all to Don Smith. Don has just joined the patterns & practices team as the new Product Manager in charge of our Web Services & Integration program (which includes the Web Services Security Patterns project). Please pop by his blog to say hello, and don't be shy in letting him know what kind of guidance you'd like in the web services arena!
