Free Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0 Training!

This past Friday, we announced that our Training/Learning division is offering *free* training on several courses related to the November 7 launch of Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and BizTalk Server 2006. From what I’m being told this training is only free until November 17, 2005 so you need to take advantage rather quickly.

Thanks a lot for posting the *FREE* training links which certainly would help interested parties to take advantages of these training modules.

Please do keep such goodies posted as those links are usually hard to find within the Microsoft elearning site.

  7. jose says:

would be nice if it actually worked!!!!

I’ve been trying to use it for a few days already and I keep on getting errors after singing in, I have reported the problem but time is running out.

    jmg

  8. Ollie says:

Is there any way that I can get to this training without going through SSL? I’m on a site that doesn’t allow SSL and will be until the end of the week, which will be too late ;o(

  9. Dillinger says:

All of the courses assume previous experience with C++. Has it every occured to Microsoft that maybe some people may be downloading free Visual Studio Express as their first compiler? If I got a compiler from Borland, you can bet there would be a Beginning C++ tutorial that shows you how to use it. Like every Microsoft tutorial I have ever looked at, it’s only useful if you already have 10 years of C++ experience and a degree in computer science. There is a book on Visual C++ Express for beginners, but it isn’t due to come out for a year! By that time the free software offer may be over.

You can’t just use any old tutorial on C++ from the web because Microsoft has gone and changed the language, nothing will compile. You can’t even use any tutorials for previous versions of Visual C++ because they’ve completely changed the interface.

In a sense, the only people who can use this "free" software are those who could already afford it in the first place. Those trying to get a foot in the door are screwed.

Please please please write some beginner’s tutorials for C++ using VS Express.

    Please.

  14. Leonardo Pedrini says:

Is this some kind of joke?

    " free until November 17, 2005 "…

Returning from my vacations, I found this surprise…

All courses that I would like to have, gone…

In all links, I get the message:

    "Error Processing the URL

This offer is no longer available."

Do you want us to give up learning?

    disappointed !!!!

  15. Neil Moss says:

I hope they don’t use the material on the courses as guidelines on "How to construct a news announcement system" – the first notice I got of this offer was Monday 5th Decemeber, despite having used VS.NET 2005 every day since it went RTM.

Can I suggest a "second chance saloon"?

How painfully unfortunate … I got sidetracked and came back to the training and find it’s no more. Worse than that, even if I want to pay for it, I can’t easily find where it is. A link would be useful, eh?
