Read the New York Times with Windows Presentation Foundation

I wanted to link to this on10 video, which shows Kevin Gjerstad demonstrating the New York Times reader application. This is a great example of the transformative power of WPF for content sites: the flow content features allow adaptive columnar layout of text and graphics, as opposed to the fixed-width news sites today that waste screen real estate and increase scrolling. Aside from that benefit, you also get embedded fonts that match the "house style", the enhancements to text resolution that are part of the new improved ClearType engine in WPF, and the ability to cache news articles for disconnected reading.

I can't wait for this to be available to the world - it'll be in beta in just a couple of weeks.
