The next meetup is at Stone & Chalk, Wednesday 20 April.  This is a free event and the subject for this month is: Startup stories from media-tech startups at different stages.

The group brings together the media, entertainment, games and creative industries with the technology and startup sectors.

The media-tech meetup group was founded and is curated by  The Studio.

The Studio:   
A media-tech, creative-tech hub and community.

  • The Studio, is a platform and community, which will support and foster the next generation of global media-tech and creative-tech businesses, products and services, IoE and hardware with potential application across all industries. The Studio media-tech and creative-tech HUB (incubator /co-working) will be home to more than 150 of the best and brightest creatives and tech-entrepreneurs. We have the support of a number of the world’s biggest tech companies and Data 61/CSIRO. Agreements with some of Australia’s best media companies and leading universities are currently under way.
  • The Studio combines the creativity, strength and global reach of the Australian media and entertainment industry with the technology and startup sectors. It facilitates connection between industry and innovation; fosters and supports new tech businesses, products and services and will provide pathways to employment and education programs.
  • With a physical space launching in soon, we have been busy building and activating a community by running various activities (, including the media-tech meetup group which is heading towards 700 people).
  • The Studio is a not-for-profit organisation.
