Today's MIEE Spotlight shines down on Claire Derrick, a teacher at Microsoft Showcase School St Mungo's.
As a MIEE at this amazing Showcase school, Claire is passionate about embedding technology within her practice and sharing experiences with others. Using OneNote Class Notebook, she is able to provide pupils with coursework notes, PowerPoints, documents, links and class notes all in one place which they can access anywhere, allowing them to work collaboratively. In addition, this also enables her to provide detailed personalised feedback and share this great practice with other staff in the department. As part of her work with wider schools in the area, Claire produces a termly newsletter via Sway to provide information for parents, Head teachers, tutors and teachers to showcase learning activities. Claire is also a member of the schools innovative digital learning group and within this role has trained and supported staff both within school and in associated Primary schools to showcase the use of digital technology.
