Today's MIEE Spotlight looks at Garath Partridge and the amazing work he is doing at Grangemouth High School as a Computer Science Teacher.
With a deep routed passion for technology, Garath was excited about the recent Scottish curriculum changes which allowed him to experiment with new and emerging technologies, in order to enthuse and enrich learner experiences. With this in mind, Garath uses technology in every lesson he teaches, vitally not just as a focus of computing lessons but rather to enhance the learning experience- technology use at it's best! Within this he utilises Microsoft technology such as OneNote to share resources, Yammer to communicate with colleagues, Microsoft Office, Office Lens, OneDrive and has also used the BBC Micro:bit and Kodu for basic programming. Garath now aims to share his expertise with colleagues and lead CPD workshops promoting Microsoft products.
