Life's Simple Pleasures

I've always been a big fan of simple elegance, perhaps more so now that I'm hitting middle-age. I was sitting in the ballroom of the Seattle Westin this morning, waiting for my cue for the FSX demo when I noticed the mass of cables from the A/V setup snaked over the entry doors. They sat in a wooden U-channel built into the door frame--no bulky scaffolding required. A few simple pieces of wood allowed guests to pass unencumbered and practically unaware of the wires. Brilliant!

On the other hand, the conference logo cut from different hues of green sports grass and stapled to the mainstage backdrop was something else entirely...
