In a 5 year deal with New York City, Microsoft is projected to help save the city a whopping 50 million dollars. How? By consolidating different contracts and putting the city’s software needs in the Microsoft cloud. Wouldn't you know it that this shift to the cloud includes leveraging Azure, as well as, Windows 7, Office (possibly Office 365 when available), SharePoint, Exchange, Live Meetings, Visual Studio (dev tools), and database products.

Proving once again that Azure and our Cloud Platform is ready for the Major League. (cue music) "If we can make it there, We can make it anywhere, It's up to you, New York, New York."
