I recently added this link as a favorite and then I kicked my self this morning for not blogging about it. Hopefully I haven’t already, but if I have, it is a topic that deserves a bit more time spent on it anyways. Caching is one of the overlooked gems that can be used to improve overall web site performance from a user’s perspective. I spend more time than I thought I would digging in on “Why is my site slow?” than I thought it would. WSS and MOSS are fairly complex in terms of many moving parts and we run against comparison to the performance of some highly cached anonymous sites on the internet. So, if you need to add another item to check for while troubleshooting user’s performance experience, don’t forget to add this very important one, CACHE!
