Hilton Giesenow has created a short video webcast that demonstrates how to take an on-premises application and extend it to the cloud using SQL Azure and the Microsoft Sync Framework.  As he points out, this gives "all the benefits of distributed, on-premises application databases AND hosted cloud-based databases for a real Software + Services implementation".
