Generate GUID using guidgen.exe

This is Syed Aslam Basha here from Information security and risk management team.

You can generate Global unique identifier (GUID) using guidgen.exe, which is installed at “C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools\guidgen.exe"

Launch GUID generator;

Click on start->All programs->Microsoft Visual studio 2010->Microsoft Windows SDK tools->GUID generator

When the tool is launched or when you click on New GUID a new GUID is generated in result box. Click on copy to copy it to clipboard and use it. You can generate GUIDs in required format by selecting different GUID formats available.
