App of the Week - Vimeo

Do you like inspirational, amazing, educational, awe-inspiring, cool, funny or just plain awesome videos? Then you'll love to know that you can watch your favorite videos everywhere, anytime and that for free, without ads and in HQ! Meet the Vimeo Windows Phone App! If you are not familiar with Vimeo; it's basically a video sharing platform. Vimeo describes itself best with the following phrase: "Vimeo is where your videos belong. We put your videos first and give you the best ways to share, discover, and be inspired."

With the app it is now possible to carry this virtual world of wonder and inspiration in your pocket and get some inspiration and amusement whenever you need it. The app not only allows you to watch and discover videos but also to manage your uploaded videos or upload some new content. Below you will find the complete list of supported app functions:

• Watch and manage all your existing Vimeo videos

• Watch videos from your Vimeo inbox, Watch Later queue, or videos you have liked

• Easily like, comment on, and add videos to your Watch Later queue

• Discover new and fascinating featured videos

• Quickly search for videos on Vimeo

• Easily upload your footage in HD

• Pause and resume uploads

• Replace existing videos

• Edit titles, descriptions, tags, privacy settings, and credits

• Share via Facebook, Twitter, email, or SMS

• Add videos to your Groups, Channels, and Albums

• Get stats on plays, likes, and comments

The app looks and feels very nice. It is intuitive and thereby makes it easy for you to explore new videos and/or manage your existing collection. For me, this app has become an essential part of my Windows Phone experience and I would definitely recommend everyone to at least give it a try. You can download it for free, here.

I hope you like it and find it as useful as I do!
