App of the Week – iSpeak

Looking for a speech Translator application that can translate Klingon language?

If you want to just translate the other major languages in use today then we might have an app for you called iSpeak Speech Translator .

iSpeak allows people with different native languages to communicate with each other through a windows phone.

The application uses some hand gestures to switch between the various interfaces for example:

  1. You pick the language you want to speak in and what you want to translate it in to.
  2. Rotate the phone and the application now starts to listen to what you are saying..
  3. Check out the video and press release below for more info.

The Application description on Marketplace says: "iSpeak is a speech and text translator. This handy language tool allows two people who speak entirely different languages to have a normal conversation with each other. iSpeak takes speech translation to a whole new usability level to defeat the language barrier!".

One person speaks in their phrase, it is converted to text and the result is spoken to the second person in their native language.

I think that iSpeak is a very useful app and i consider it as the good way to facilitate communication between different people from different country in the world in addition there is a text translator available which supports more languages than the speech translation does and you can even send your text translation via SMS, Email or share it via Facebook or windows live messenger. and it can be helpful to learn too many languages because iSpeak also let you save your conversations which can come in very useful.

For people like me it will become the application to use every day with my classmates from China, Russia..., for others it might save your day that one time when you really need it

iSpeak can come in useful in many situations…Such as:

  •     - Travelling
  •     - Education
  •     - Improving communication within a workplace
  •   Supported Speech Languages: ( English,  French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Dutch, Korean, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Polish, Portuguese and Russian. )

iSpeak is a paid application If you are interested you can test it as trial version. The full version is available for sfr 1.29.
