We have received many questions and requests for help from customers who aren’t sure how to write their stream processing logic in the Stream Analytics Query Language.
We are happy to announce that we have released a guide that captures common query patterns and describes them fully with sample data, code snippets, and explanations: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/stream-analytics-stream-analytics-query-patterns/
This page will be a repository for query patterns that will grow over time. To start it off we took a cross section of common issues customers have been facing on our forums which start from how to do type conversion and go all the way to computing the duration of a condition.
Looking to solve a problem that you don’t see captured here? We will be looking at our msdn forum and Twitter (@AzureStreaming) for suggestions on extensions to the document, so please give us feedback, keep on asking and let’s get all those patterns to where everyone can enjoy them.
